The Jamayka Boyz - Rastaman (J.Boyz Dub From Creation)

This tune appears on a 10 inch single sided record from Junior Boyz Own. 

I loved the use of dub elements on a house rhythm when I first heard this tune on an Eden Burns NTS mix.  I also loved the fact it was on a smaller single sided vinyl.

The Jamayka Boyz is an alias for of productive UK artist Ashley Beedle and sound engineer James Brown. They released only one other EP as Jamayka Boys but I think this is definitely the pick of the two.

I also hesitated before posting this one on YouTube because the pinned video on Discogs at the time I bought was just a guy dancing to the tune in his house. I really don't want to discredit that video in any way. I hope mine and their videos can coexist peacefully together.

The Sound of Radar - Sunshine

I bought this last year from Big Wax in Paris from the three euro bin. For Fetish DJ's Shetland only.

A classic French filter house track that heavily uses samples from Rocker's Revenge boogie track 'Walking on Sunshine '82.' 

The wobbly intro, a classic vocal and those big string sounds all combine for something bursting with fun and built for a big system in the sun$hine. 

Radar has had a few obscure releases that are becoming harder to find, just like this one. But if this is Poney Club Record 005, where are the others? Will they ever see the light of discogs? Hopefully I manage to track down a few more at some stage.
